How to Scan Files into Kurzweil 3000

  1. Scan the file so that it is on the computer as an Adobe File (.pdf)
    • Use the 2nd floor teacher’s copier to scan. Press the Scan button, select a location to scan it into (ELA, Math, etc folders)
    • Files will be scanned into the Teacher_Share ► Teacher’s Only ► ScanDocs
  2. Open the file from the Teacher_Share folder on a computer that is a Kurzweil Scanning Station (currently Instructor Computer in Lab A)
  3. Select File ► Print.
  4. In the Print dialogue box, select the Kesi Virtual Printer from the drop down Printer menu.
  5. Click OK.

Notes about scanning files:
Once files have been scanned into Kurzweil, they cannot be edited. To edit the file, select all the text (CTRL + A) and copy and paste it into a new Kurzweil file (that you will be able to edit).
