Q

How do I setup my computer to project to a secondary display?

A

Your computer may use a physical video splitter to project an image to a second device. If so, then this information is not relevent.

To determine if your computer needs additional settings to output to multple displays, right click anywhere on the desktop screen. If you see an option for Catalyst(TM) Control Center, then you may need to change some settings in order to project your computer onto an interactive white board, projector or television.

An attached document (below) is available with images to help guide you through the following process:

  1. Right click on the Desktop.  Select “Catalyst Control Center.” If the program does not appear to start, repeat step 1 again.
  2. Select “Basic” Setting. Then click on “Next”.
  3. Once you see the “Easy Setup Wizards” screen, Click on the “Go” Button.
  4. Leave “Main Display” alone. change “Second Display” to the display you want. You can go between TV and Projector. When you are done, click “Next”.
  5. Select “Clone” as the desktop mode. When done, click “Next”.
  6. Make sure “Desktop area” is set to 1024x768 or better. When done, click on “Finish”.
  7. Then click on “Exit”.
